Massage in Brighton & Hove

Our vision -

Passionate about the belief that everyone deserves bespoke, healing and relaxing massage treatments, Hannah West Therapies was born in 2013.

Our treatments are designed to deal with the body and mind as a whole, as we believe only this way can we effectively address the core of your issues. Every massage session is tailor made for you and for your goals - this is because every body is different, there is no one-cure-fixes all.

All of our therapists at Hannah West Therapies are qualified sports and remedial massage therapists/clinical massage therapists. We offer specialist sports massage/deep tissue massage and treatments for anyone with any sort of pain, dysfunction or in need of relaxation.

We also specialise in women’s health - abdominal scar work (Hannah and Georgie only), pregnancy massage and postnatal massage.

Whether you have a goal in mind or are looking to keep on top of your aches and pains with a regular maintenance massage, our sessions work to put recovery as a priority and help keep you on track in the long-term.

About Hannah - Massage therapist and owner

Hannah is qualified in Scar Work, Pregnancy and Postnatal Massage as well as Sports and Soft Tissue Massage Therapy.

A keen skier, runner, gym goer and lover of all things health and fitness, Hannah’s experience of the effectiveness of soft tissue therapy with her own ski injuries inspired her career choice. Since having two boys, Hannah noticed the real need for specialised treatments for women, designed to not only relax, but help heal common issues that happen pre and post birth. After further massage training in the subject, she knew women’s health was an area she wanted to specialise.

When not massaging or working out, you can find Hannah hanging out in Brighton with her two boys Caspar and Otis, or working on her Postpartum and C-section recovery courses The 360 Mama.

Hannah is a graduate of the prestigious North London School of Sports Massage. She has trained with Burrell Education in Pregnancy and Postnatal Massage and Abdominal Scar Massage, in Sharon Wheelers Scar work with Emma Holly at Restore Therapy, with Susan Findley in Oncology Massage, with OMT training in Medical Acupunture and with AMN Academy (Applied Movement Neurology).

Hannah is fully Insured through Balens and is a member of both the Complementary Health Professionals Association and a gold member of the Sports Massage Association.

She continues to expand her knowledge and skills through regular courses and conferences in areas such as pre and postnatal massage, dry needling and scar work.

About Georgie - Massage therapist, Sports and Postpartum Rehabilitation

Georgie is qualified in Scar work, Sports and Postpartum Rehabilitation and Soft Tissue Massage Therapy.

She has a particular love of all things active and is a keen runner, sea swimmer, and netball player so is passionate about getting you back to your sport or hobby whatever it may be.

Since having three children her drive has grown to help women in the postnatal period and she has gone on to specialise in postpartum rehabilitation. This involves helping people suffering from pain and injury with the musculoskeletal system through exercise rehabilitation, movement education, and manual therapy.

George graduated from St Mary’s University with a degree in Sports Rehabilitation in 2008. With over 15 years of experience Georgie has worked in a variety of settings including gyms, multidisciplinary clinics, and with professional sports teams.

Like Hannah, she has also trained in Scar work with Emma Holly at Restore Scar Therapy. She did her Matwork and Equipment Pilates with the Pilates Foundation, managing diastasis separation with Gráinne Donnelly, Medical Acupuncture with OMT and most recently obtained a diploma in the John Gibbons Bodymaster Method which has deepened her understanding of the body; learning Kinesiology taping, Muscle Energy Techniques, and Advance Soft Tissue Techniques which she regularly uses in her treatments.

Georgie is fully insured through BASRAT.

“After lots of attempts finding another massage therapist, I finally found a professional massage therapist who really helped me to take care of my body. Hannah is very qualified and knows what she needs to treat. She also adds acupuncture to the massage and for me, that is a big plus. She is also very nice and makes you feel comfortable and relax during the treatment. Definitely recommend.”
