Medical Acupuncture | Dry needling - What is it?
Widely based on western medicine, Medical Acupuncture or Dry Needling is typically used for pain management and sports rehabilitation. Fine needles are inserted through the skin into areas of tension or pain (trigger points) and briefly left in position. The number of needles used is different for each client (depending on their individual case) but sometimes is as few as two.

If you've had a treatment with me you'll know I'm a big fan of my massage tools and use them in pretty much every treatment. IASTM stands for Instrument Aided Soft Tissue Manipulation, and may also be called ASTYM or Graston. IASTM is a manual therapy approach to musculoskeletal injuries using specifically designed tools. It’s basically a tool to help me get to the issue and work it better.
